Role Requirements
As an Apprentice Educator, you will join our specialist Apprenticeship Programme which will provide you with hands on experience across all of our age groups both in the rooms and out at Forest School, as well as dedicated study time. With the support of your mentor you will learn the skills you need to qualify as a confident, experienced childcare educator.
Day to day you will:
- Learn from and support your team in delivery of basic care routines, for example; welcoming children into the nursery, mealtimes, sleep and basic care.
- Have fun with the children, helping them to learn through play.
- Enjoy undertaking internal and external training guided by your mentor to increase your knowledge and skills.
- Build on your knowledge of child development by planning activities to challenge and stimulate children of different age groups.
- Promote child welfare and ensure safeguarding procedures are followed.
- Develop strong relationships with parents and strong bonds with the children you are caring for.
